1 Corinthians 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.4-He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

Speaking in an unknown tongues drive devil into confusion. Devil and his agent may know some certain things. For example like the unbelievers that reads peoples mind, they do that not with the power of God. But when believers speaks in tongues the enemies are confused, they don't understand what you saying. But you are actually communicating with God. This is why it is good to be under the lead of the Holy Ghost. The devil may know something about someone. but speaking in tongues and being lead by the spirit of God makes the devil to be confused totally.  The devil cannot know what the spirit of God is about to say.  This is why children of God must learn to take the devil unaware by following the lead of Holy Ghost timely.

Praying in tongues edifies a child of God (1Corinthians14:4). To edifies mean to build improve etc. You build yourself when you prayer in the Holy Ghost. Speaking in tongues is praying in the Holy Ghost. A soldier man that goes for parade every morning have a probabilities of having a higher moral than the one that does not go for parade. Therefore it is important for believers to pray, to build them selve In other to be alerts as soldier of our Lord Jesus Christ(Matthew26:41).

Prayer point

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Ghost. Thank you Holy spirit for giving me utterance whenever I pray. Please Lord help me to utilize this gifts you have given me in other to build myself in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
