John 1:4

[4]In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 8:12

[12]Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 

In electricity any connections that is not connected to the main supply will not receive Power and to cut off electricity flow is to cut it off from the main supply. Sometimes the channel that is connected to the main supply may have fault but if connected directly to the source there is no hindrance to the flow of electricity.  In this contest Jesus is the source any body that follow him will not walk in darkness, anybody that follow him receive directly from him. 

The greatest thing that can happen to a child of God is to be directly connected to Jesus. Not just that somebody is telling you about him but that you Know him by yourself. You can know him by spending time with him in prayer, studying of the word of God and evangelism. To be connected to Jesus is to be connected to light. When you are connected directly to Jesus you receive directly from him. It make you to be independent of man but dependent of God. For instance, When you receive messages from the sender of a message and when you receive from somebody that receive from the sender of the message is not the same. The one you receive directly from the sender is more authentic because You have the interpretation in your spirit according to your relationship with the sender. When you receive from God you have the interpretation according to how God is leading you through you spirit

You can be connected to God by building a personal relationship with Him. When you creat an intimacy with God then you are connected to the source of life (John1:4)

Prayer point:

Heavenly Father I thank you for your son Jesus Christ which is the source of life. I choose to follow Jesus Christ please help me Lord in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
