1Thess.5.19 - Quench not the Spirit.


The Holy Spirit is the fulfilled promise of God to every Born again child of God, send in the name of Jesus(John14:26). The important of the Holy Spirit in the life of believer is numerous (comforter, provider guider, protector, instructor etc). The Holy Spirit is so important in the Life of a believer, He is the reason why Christian exist.

The question is how then can the Spirit be quench? When a problem is discovered the solution come.  The world was in the problem of condemnation by sin but God sending his Son Jesus Christ came and solve that problem that whosoever believe in him should not perish or condem but have everlasting life (John 3:16). The manifestation of the Holy Spirit in a person can be limited if a person No longer listen to word of edification (Ephesians 4:29), no longer pray in tongues (1Corinthians14:4), no longer Meditate on the word of God, no longer have fellowship with God. In other word engagement in corrupt communication grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). He that is in the world(Devil) manipulate for people to be weak spiritually so that they can accept accusations when they are accuses for their prayers not to work because of doubt and unbelieve(Reference to Antidote to Doubt). Because when he(devil) accuses somebody that the Holy Spirit dwells in his Life the accusations will not have stand because the person spirit is high.  The devil accuses for people to fill accused so that the Faith they have on our Lord Jesus Christ will be limited because of the doubts they entertain. 

So therefore when the devil accuses you as a believer you resist him and command him to flee for it is none of his business how you live your life, for you are not of his kingdom But of the Lord Jesus. 

 How can we then not quench the spirit? Spend time praying in tongues(1Corinthians14:4), study the word of God(Hebrews 4:12), speak words of edification(Ephesians 4:29), Have fellowship with God in place of prayer etc. In other words allow the Holy Spirit to lead you by developing the inward man to have intimacy with God. Speak Faith word and sing Faith song and you will continue to be inspire to do great exploit in the body of Christ. Let the fire keep burning.

Dear heavenly Father I thank you for the gift of the Holy ghost you gave us your children. I resist and stop every satanic activities against me in other to make it look as if the spirit is quenched in my Life as a child of God, in the church of God and in the entire body of Christ in the mighty name of Jesus Amen...
