🔷🔷🔷🔷DIGEST THE WORD🔷🔷🔷🔷

   Text: John6:63

When reading the word of God as a believer it is important to digest the word. The term digest here means to get the understanding of the Word. The understanding of the Word of God is through the spirit of God and it is available to every Born again child of God. There are spirit of distraction from the devil that try to distract people when they are reading the Word of God. Believers resist such spirit by digesting the word of God through reading it with full attention and concentration. 

There are many portion of the scripture when I read, I just read them with speed and I will not even know when I have passed the verse. But there was a day I was reading the book of John3:16 and I was slowly reading it, bit by bit, sentence by sentence. And I come across the last sentence of that verse were it says "whosoever believeth in Him shall have everlasting life". And I take a close look at the second to the last word which is "everlasting". Then I understand that for something to be everlasting, that thing is forever and there is nothing that can stop it. Then I understand that everlasting life means forever life. Then I believe that I have everlasting life and understand that children of God does not die because they have everlasting life.

The word of God is like a code that can be decoded through the spirit of God. It is good to stop every operation of distraction while studying the word and put full concentration on the Word of God. For instance when listening to somebody and there is noise there, you can not get full understanding of what the person is saying because of noise. But when you command the noise to stop then you can get the full message. When studying the word of God and you perceive distraction or lack of concentration, know the devil is at work, resist him by commanding him to stop his operation against you and destroy his power and finally cast him out and put full concentration as you read that verse or chapter slowly, word by word, sentence by sentence. In such cases there could be something the Lord want you to know but the devil is trying to distract. Digest the word to get the full understanding of the Word 

Prayer point:

Heavenly Father. Thank you for the Word, thank you for the understanding of the Word. I stop every operation of the devil against me as I study the Word of God in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

It is not good again to eat the food unless the thing that stands as contamination on the food is removed. When a negative Proclamation is mixed with a positive one it is not good to accept it again.
